Yes — catering is provided by our partner chef, Peter Harrison, who has an excellent reputation in Suffolk. Rather than set menus, each couple works with Peter to create something entirely bespoke. You’ll be invited to share favourite restaurants, memorable meals, or dishes you love to cook at home — all of which help shape a menu that feels personal and meaningful. To help get started, there’s an inspiration menu, and once everything’s refined, you’ll be invited for a tasting, including canapés.
We’ve worked with Peter for many years, and his food always receives glowing compliments. A fully licensed in-house bar is also available for your reception and evening celebration.

In 2025, we created a 150-acre nature reserve around the Priory Gatehouse, called Butley Abbey Wilds. Our goal is for Butley Abbey Wilds to be a sanctuary for both nature and people, today and in the future. In addition to hosting Butley Priory weddings, we offer holidays, parties, and Estate takeovers, welcoming guests from around the world to our rural Suffolk retreat.
